Configure templates

Set up templates for data insertion

This section is about working with templates when the data is already in an appropriate format. This is usually the case with simple templates, but most importantly, it enables us to examine process of creating bindings without worrying too much about the data transformations. This makes it easier to learn each of the elements separately.

You'll configure templates by starting from a standard, non-dynamic document in which the places where data needs to be inserted are highlighted. You'll learn to use our Recipe Editor to set up a Documotor recipe to produce documents automatically.

If you want to learn more about Bindings in Word, PowerPoint and Excel, check out the reference pages for bindings, containing the documentation for all the possible bindings.
